Publishers like BentBox often play a distinctive role in their communities—not merely as retail storefronts, but as creative anchors. They develop original works, collaborate with local and regional artists, and help sustain the pipeline of new comics reaching readers. By operating seven days a week, BentBox makes itself accessible to the broader audience it serves, whether collectors passing through Lehigh Acres or established patrons of its titles. This kind of steady, year-round presence helps anchor a town's comics culture.
